  • April Peterson

    Marketing Coordinator

April Peterson, Marketing Coordinator, oversees and has a very active role in the execution of all advertising for the Cascadia region. April has been with the company since 2016. After returning from studying abroad in London, April took a break from school and began working in the distribution center for an action sports retailer based out of the greater Seattle area. Seeing what goes on behind the scenes of a retail business, combined with her background in graphic design, inspired April to choose Marketing as a major. She obtained her B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Western Washington University. She spends her time outside of work keeping up with her three kids and still loves to travel when she gets the chance. Interior design has been a passion of April’s since she was a toddler. She is thrilled to have a position that combines so many of the things she loves.

  • Maryssa Menendez

    Project Coordinator and Show Ambassador

Maryssa Menendez works as a Project Coordinator and Show Ambassador for Granite Transformations. When she is not lucky enough to be representing the company at local home shows, she is working behind-the-scenes on SEO/SEM, P&L, and other projects. Maryssa has been with the company since the summer of 2018. Before that, she was attending college in California where she earned her Studio Acting Degree. Throughout high school, Maryssa worked at home shows representing a variety of companies and products. Her time in shows taught her how to build relationships with customers and help them find exactly what they need or want. In her free time, Maryssa is usually curled up on the couch with her dog and a good book. She also enjoys hiking, going to the theatre, and spending time with her family and friends. Maryssa is passionate about representing a company she believes in and ensuring that each customer has a wonderful experience from beginning to end. She wants both the company and the customer to succeed and works hard to make sure everyone is happy and excited about every new endeavor.

  • Deb and Bob Varner

    Owners

Deb and Bob Varner are the owners of Granite Transformations in the Cascadia region. They both spent years working for large corporations, Deb in Finance and Operations, and Bob in Market Research. In 2003 they transitioned into ownership of Granite Transformations, and they love what they do. They have been working to expand the operation every few years. Deb and Bob chose Granite Transformations because of the outstanding product, revolutionary process, and the ability to have a positive impact on people’s homes and lives in just a few days. Their favorite part of the job is getting to work with customers. As owners, they are very active in the operations of their company. Deb can often be found running design consultation appointments, returning phone calls, and meeting with customers in the office. Bob is always out templating people’s homes and running return appointments to ensure that every customer is thrilled with their final result. When not at work, Deb and Bob enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren. They have adventurous spirits and can often be found sailing and hiking in the PNW and around the world. The happiness of their customers and employees is their number one priority. They worked hard to build a business to be proud of. Deb and Bob believe in going above and beyond to meet the needs of their customers and work tirelessly to meet that standard every day.

  • Gloria Major

    Bookkeeper

Gloria Major handles the bookkeeping transactions for the Cascadia Granite Transformation franchises. She has been with the organization since 2016 and has more than 35 years of bookkeeping experience, working with many law firms and other small companies. She also owns her own contract bookkeeping company. Gloria attended the University of Washington and Central Washington University, studying Business Management with an emphasis on Accounting. When not working, she plays pickleball a couple of nights per week and has also competed in Powerlifting and Strongman competitions. Other than that, she likes to do all sorts of crafting, and play stupid games on her phone while watching reality TV. Since her three grown children are all out of the house, she and her husband, Tom, host international exchange students so the house doesn’t get too quiet.

  • Katy Wolfe

    Design Assistant

Katy Wolfe, Design Assistant, serves our customers, team members, and partners by operating the Puyallup showroom. Katy started with the company in September of 2020. She works directly with our customers (often as their first source of contact), schedules appointments, creates files, builds reports, and ensures that the office runs smoothly. With over 15 years of experience in the countertop industry, Katy was able to transition into her role at Granite Transformations with ease. She brought with her a vast wealth of knowledge, ranging from cutting lam, inventory tracking, purchasing product, and estimating quotes. With her attention to detail and excellent organization skills, Katy has been able to tie her extensive experience into her current work and quickly became a wonderful asset to the Granite Transformations family. In her spare time, you can find Katy spending quality time with her daughters, singing or dancing to 80’s rock music, and sometimes both. In order to further connect with a broader group of people, Katy is hoping to learn ASL in the near future. As the smiling face of the South Sound showroom, or as she would call herself, the office clown, Katy loves to make people laugh. During our weekly meetings, she is the first to crack a joke and lighten the mood. She brings that same energy when working with customers, guaranteeing that you will always leave that office with a smile on your face.
